Seeing situations from another person's point of view helps give us perspective, so that we can act with compassion instead of hatred, anger or resentment.
Did you know that if a snail moved without stopping, it would take more than a week to complete 1 kilometer?
Imagine if we humans moved at that pace!
Imagine how much more of life's beautiful details we would allow ourselves to experience. The texture and temperature of the earth beneath our feet, the way the wind blows the leaves on the trees to our left and our right, the way the horizon appears calm and steady.
We can make ourselves crazy with our go, go, going lives. With our need to achieve and do and move forward. Anxious about the next step, feeling not good enough, not able to do it all. Struggling to find center as the horizon is always moving.
What if the goal weren't to "do it all" in order to reach some end point, but to slow down and enjoy the journey?
