To My Dear Friends in Switzerland,
As my most recent “tour” in Switzerland comes to an end, I am humbled as I realize the work I have the distinct privilege of doing every single day…sharing the teachings of The Buddha and practicing kindness, generosity, and meditation with all of you. You’ve once again filled me with hope for the world as I watch you each forge your own path and inner guidance system through mindfulness and a strong spiritual practice.
This year, I have been so fortunate to spend more time with children. In my observation, I think that they are the ones who receive the most from my teaching. Indeed, they are, our future. When I look at them, I see Little Buddhas. I am honored that their parents have entrusted me to participate in their growth, and now better understand the traditional African proverb: "It takes a village to raise a child."
I’ll be back in Switzerland next year and I am so looking forward to practicing with all and to help strengthen your practice. It’s always a constant recommitting and I am so grateful to you for allowing me to be a partner with you because when you commit to your own spiritual well-being, you in turn help me commit to mine.
So many of you are always asking how you can help me. My only mission is to add more love to the world. This is how:
1. Practice everyday. Surround yourself with noble friends who support you. Practice, practice, practice. If you don’t, nothing else matters.
2. Consider where else I can teach in the area. My mission is big: I want to add more love to the whole world and so please help me find places to do that. Yoga studios, churches, businesses open to mindfulness training… anywhere that people desire to grow and deepen I want to show up and help and spread my message.
Until we see each other again, I want you all to know that every breath, every step and every action you take, by cultivating your own spiritual practice you are helping the entire world by adding more love.
May peace be with each and every one of you, may you be well, happy and peaceful.
Metta, (Loving kindness)
