Ahimsa in Action
Ahimsa is one of the virtues within the Eight Limbs of Yoga, a moral guideline yogis and yoginis are encouraged to follow. Ahimsa is the practice of non-violence, which includes physical, mental, and emotional violence towards others and the self.
In other words, Ahimsa is compassion. Extending compassion to other humans is only half the equation. Extending compassion to all living beings incorporates a holistic understanding of the meaning of yoga: union, oneness, love.
Veganism is one of the most impactful ways to practice compassion every single day. More and more conscious parents are educating themselves and choosing to switch their families to a healthy and kind plant-based lifestyle.
Curious about this? Transitioning but could use some support? Already practicing but looking for a like-minded community?
Join our Swiss Vegan Families monthly potlucks! We hold the potlucks at farm sanctuary Hof Narr in Hinteregg, ZH when the weather is warm (April to October) and at various locations around Zürich during the winter months.

- A portion of proceeds from yoga and workshops is donated to support a rescue pony, Janosh, at Hof Narr animal sanctuary and a young cow, Indra, at ZuKUHnft farm sanctuary. More details about both sanctuaries can be found at www.hof-narr.ch.
